Job Posting: Child Caregiver

Position: Child Caregiver (NOC 44101)

Location: North York, Ontario, M2N 7C3

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay: $20 per hour

 

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Caregiver (NOC 44100) to provide personalized care and companionship for an infant. If you are reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about childcare, we encourage you to apply.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Supervise and provide personalized care for an infant in the employer's residence.

·       Bathe, dress, and feed the infant, including preparing formulas and changing diapers.

·       Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks suitable for infants.

·       Maintain consistent daily routines, including feeding schedules, naps, and structured playtime.

·       Engage the infant in age-appropriate activities, such as reading, singing, gentle sensory activities, tummy time, soft music play, educational play, and gentle outdoor experiences.

·       Ensure a safe, healthy, and clean environment within the home at all times.

·       Perform light housekeeping duties related directly to childcare, such as cleaning play areas, sterilizing bottles, and managing the child's laundry.

·       Monitor and support the infant’s emotional well-being and early social development.

·       Maintain records of daily activities and the infant’s health progress as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • College-level Early Childcare Assistant Certificate or relevant education is strongly preferred.
  • A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine concern for the well-being of children.

·       First aid and CPR certification is beneficial but not mandatory.

·       Ability to follow parental instructions and maintain collaborative communication.

  • Prior experience in caregiving or a related field is beneficial but not required.
