Job description:
Assemble, fit, and install aluminum boat components
according to drawings and work orders. Operate hand and power tools to cut,
shape, weld, and finish aluminum parts. Install systems and fittings, perform
sub-assemblies, and ensure all boats meet quality and safety standards. Conduct
inspections throughout the build process, follow production schedules, and
maintain a clean, organized work area
Duties:
Cut, shape, and fit aluminum parts and assemblies.
Weld, bond, or fasten components to form boat structures.
Install electrical, mechanical, and structural components.
Perform sanding, grinding, and finishing for final assembly.
Follow work orders and drawings to meet customer
requirements.
Conduct quality checks and pre-delivery inspections.
Keep workspace organized and assist in meeting production
deadlines.
Qualifications/Skills Requirements/Work Experience:
1-2 years of
experience working.
High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification or
relevant vocational training is an asset.
Previous experience in aluminum fabrication, boat building,
or metal assembly preferred.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic
machinery used in metal fabrication.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical
drawings, and work orders.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail with a commitment to quality
craftsmanship.
Ability to work independently or as part of a production
team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical stamina to handle materials and perform manual tasks throughout the shift.
