Machinist at S.B. Tool & Machine Co.

 

Location -            3-3155 Pepper Mill Court Mississauga, ON L5L 4X7

Salary -                36.00 hourly / 35 hours per week

Vacancies-         2 vacancies

Terms of employment- Permanent employment, Full time

Start date-        As soon as possible.

 

Job Requirements

Languages-       English

Education-        Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience-      2 years to less than 3 years

On site-              Work must be completed at the physical location

 

Tasks

·       Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts

·       Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables

·       Set up and adjust production machineries/tools

·       Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments

·       Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances

·       Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports

·       Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)

·       Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools

·       Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
