Job OverviewWe seek dedicated, hardworking individuals to join our family farm operation in Neepawa, Manitoba. As a farm technician/worker, you will play a crucial role in our agricultural operations, assisting in various tasks to ensure the successful planting, growing, and harvesting of crops such as wheat, canola, soybeans, beans, sunflowers and corn. Duties• Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed• Maintain quality control and production records• Schedule and maintain farm machinery• Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations• Perform general farm duties • Operate and maintain farming machinery and equipment• Assist in field preparation, planting, spraying and harvesting crops Qualifications • Previous experience in farming or agriculture is preferred.• Ability to work long hours in busy season (Aug to November) outdoor conditions, with physical stamina and a strong work ethic.• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of farm machinery is an asset.• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.• A valid driver’s license is required; Class 1 license is an asset.• Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed. Job Duties:(a)Feed and tend to hog livestock. (b)Maintain records of feed inventory (c) Sort, brand and handle hogs. (d) Maintain cleanliness of maintenance facilities and farm structure.(e) Clean Pig barns, sheds, barn yards and pig pens. (f) Maintain comfortable environments for piglets (g) Monitor health of pigs and provide care. (h) Record animals progress report. (i) Prepare hogs for transportation. (j) May operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. (k) Maintain and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in pig barns and pens
