Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation
Operate heavy equipment
Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
Use International Organization for Standardization (ISO) pattern joystick controls
Use Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) controls pattern
Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
Measure distance, volume, length and weight
Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS)
Complete onboard and other logs
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
Prepare accident reports
Secure special attachments to equipment
Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
Perform minor repairs to equipment
Operate hydraulic pumping systems
