  Job Description

Duties:

·        Responsible for soldering of brass, copper, bronze and steel parts

·        Clean the metal surfaces of the parts or components to remove oxidation, dirt, or oil

·        Secure the parts or components using a vice or helping hands

·        Apply flux to the joint area to remove oxides during heating, ensuring proper solder adhesion

·        Heat the parts or components to be joined

·        Apply the solder to the heated parts until it melts and fills the gap

·        Ensure that the joint cools and hardens naturally

·        Inspect the connection and clean off any excess flux residue to prevent corrosion

·        Follow all safety rules and quality standards

 

Education:                          High School

Experience:                        1+ year as Solderer or Apprentice

Wage rate:                         36 per hour for 30 hours per week

Benefits:                             Medical & Dental after 3 months

Terms of Employment:   Full-time, Permanent
