Job Title: Rope Access TechnicianJob Description: SkyRope Services Inc. is seeking experienced Rope Access Technicians to join our team in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-rise exterior building maintenance, inspections, and repairs using rope access techniques, with a focus on painting tasks. This role demands a strong commitment to safety and expertise in working at heights.Location: Multiple locations in and around Vancouver and surrounding cities.Work Conditions:Full-time employment40 hours per weekAvailability for shift work, including weekends and occasional overtime as neededSalary: $30 per hour, aligning with the current prevailing wage for this role.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform Exterior Painting: Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to building exteriors using rope access methods. This includes surface preparation, priming, and application of multiple coats as required.Conduct Inspections: Inspect building exteriors for signs of wear, damage, and safety hazards. Report findings and suggest corrective actions.Maintain Safety Standards: Strictly adhere to safety protocols, ensuring that all rope access and painting activities comply with industry standards and regulations.Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces prior to painting to ensure proper adhesion of the finishing materials.Equipment Management: Set up, maintain, and safely operate rope access systems and other necessary equipment. Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and safely.
